Step 1 - Choice of Bed Size

It is most important that you understand what size of mattress you have or if you want to get a new size, may be upgrade from a queen to a king, make sure your room will be able to hold it.

Step 2 - Choice of Wood

You need to take this seriously because this is what is going to hold the weight on the bed completely. When you choose your wood pieces you need to choose those that are straight and not curved as this can get your sleeping uncomfortable. It is necessary that you get wood that is an inch thick.

Step 3 - Creating the Headboard

You will be making a 68"headboard. Once you have the wood ready you can design it in any shape that you would like maybe a fancy one, or you can just make a plain rectangular headboard. Once the headboard is all ready you need to nail its left and right to a high-density peg.

Step 4 - The Side railings

You will now need to saw a couple of wood planks that are of the size 80" x 18" and you need to place them horizontally near the headboard. Once these are ready you need to use the sand paper to just smooth it out and then attach them to the high-density pegs of the headboard.

Step 5 - The End board

This is where you need to be extremely careful because this needs to be in complete correspondence with the headboard that is created, failing which your bed frame will look lopsided.

Step 6 - The Surface of the Bed

This is where you use the 15 medium density hardwood pegs. You need to be extremely cautious because this is where the weight of all the people sleeping on the bed is going to fall and your precision needs to be perfect. Spread these 15 pegs within the side railings. At the end of each of these pegs, you need to drill holes into the side railing. Use the screws and connect the pegs with the railings together. To ensure maximum safety and durability you can hammer in a few nails as well.

Step 7 - Final Touches

Look at any irregularities on the wood that you have used and smooth them out using the sand paper. You now need to apply the hardwood solution and the varnish to ensure that the bed withholds any change in temperature.

You now have your complete wooden bed frame ready. You can be proud of your achievement because it is your creativity that has been put into use here and soon you will be able to use designs into it and create wonderful frames for your house.

There was a time that you had to go to the zoo to see wild animals. Today, Disney World Tours offers guests the opportunity to get up close and personal with these creatures by being a guest at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge.

Disney World Safari is a unique deluxe resort that is built around a private animal reserve. In an area that spans 33 acres, there are three separate savannahs that are now home to more than 200 mammals and birds.

The resort lodge has 1,293 rooms. Each one features handcrafted furniture and art from Zimbabwe. Some rooms have "butterfly" mask designs on their headboard. Those who stay in the suite can't help but notice the dome, hut like living room that has its own dining room, office, kitchen and porches that offer a great view of the savannah.

There is the one standard room, concierge level room as well as one and two bedroom suites. Some rooms can hold 4 people while others can have as many as eight. Depending on the size of the room you get, you may be sleeping on a bunk, queen or king size bed.

Just before sunset three nights a week, guests are invited to hop aboard a pop top vehicle to see what a typical North African safari is like. Some of the animals you could see throughout the trip include the African spoonbills, the bongo, the greater kudu, the zebra, the wildebeest, the spiral-horned antelope impala, and the pink-back pelicans.

But you don't have to take a ride to see some of these animals because some of them will roam near your balcony.

Aside from the animals, the food served at this resort is very unique. You can go to Jiko-the cooking place which is considered to be fine dining and enjoy some of South Africa's dishes. Each dish served is a paired with some of South Africa's best wines together with some sweet desserts. You can also go to Boma: Flavors of Africa that is buffet style, Mara a food court and Victoria Falls which is a lounge.

Other things you can do here are take a dip in the pool that has a 67 foot water slide, enjoy an in room massage and even a facial. There is also a play area for children and nightly campfire storytelling given by the cast members.

Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge is 5 miles away from Orlando International Airport. Nightly rates at this place start at 5 per night.
